Football University

Nine players from the lower mainland and Island participated in the Football University camp in Tacoma this past weekend. The three day program was very well run and executed. I had the pleasure of watching Saturdays program and was very impressed with the coaching and organization. Run by former NFL players and coaches this was a top notch program.

The boys from BC performed very well and certainly fit in with the rest who travelled as far as from California, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon and locals from Washington State. Using two fields (one a brand new artifical turf field which is the high school's practice field!) the players were split into positional groups and later brought together for one on ones and such.

Class time included instructions for coaches, parents and of course lots for the players. Hope to have some pics up on the VMFL website tonight. More info at http://www.footballuniversity.org/

Congrats to both these kids competing against the top US players.
