In Midget play, without question the Victoria Spartans.

The Victoria Spartans finished a respectable 6-3-1 last year, good enough for 5th place. They are on the verge of a breakthrough in 2010 with a returning QB, a large and keen roster with returning experienced players, and high interest in the community with the Rebels, Spartans, Mount Doug and Belmont. Many HS players in the community see Midget as a stepping stone, therefore expect a full roster of 18 year olds. Also expect improvement in the standings over last year and as the season progresses, these underdogs to become top dogs.It is conceivable that a 1-2 placement in the Midget standings will occur with the 2 Vancouver Island teams, providing further evidence that VI is truly the hotbed of football in the province.

You really think Victoria could be that good? Now I'm interested! I wish the season wasn't 6 weeks away :(.

As far as other underdogs I'll go with:

- Mission - Tons of talent on this roster, if they want it bad enough watch out.
- WRSS - I fully expect them to improve on last year.
- Richmond - I won't pretend to be an expert on the Raiders, but if they have enough players for two entire teams I would expect one of them to be quite strong.

What can you guys tell me about the Vancouver Trojans? Before I can determine if they will cause upsets and be top underdogs I need to know who they have on their team, size of roster, number of 18 year olds, etc. Sounds like the Trojans may be starting from scratch, therefore it will be a tough rebuilding year and likely they will not be capable of any upsets. Probably even experts like TheAnnointedOne know nothing about the Trojans!

you are right on both statements. never had to cut a player or 5 before. this part sucks big time. the second part is going to be the deciding factor. :?
